The NJSA Eastern Regional moved to Richmond, Indiana this year, and we are excited for some of you to explore new territory. The Showpig.com team is no stranger to the area, and we are happy to share our list of places to see beyond the barn in Richmond.

Ranked #1 place to visit in Richmond, Indiana by TripAdvisor is the Model T Museum. The MTFCA Model T Museum is committed to collecting, preserving, and exhibiting artifacts from the Model T Ford era for future generations through displays and events that educate people of all ages on the history, lore, and skills needed to maintain the car that put the world on wheels.

Just a short trip west on Interstate 70, you can visit the famous Hoosier gym. There are tours of the gym by knowledgeable staff at all times the gym is open. If you aren’t aware, Hoosiers has been voted the all-time best sports movie. Don’t miss out on a chance to visit this historical landmark!

When looking for a place to eat, The Old Richmond Inn offers unforgettable charm. They have been serving fine food for over 26 years. The Old Richmond Inn offers a wide variety of elegant main course dinners, appetizers, and fine desserts. The lunch and dinner specials change daily, so call or come in to see what the chef is offering.

Looking for fine Italian cuisine in the heart of Richmond? You should find yourself at Galo’s Italian. The menu contains pasta, pizza, and a lot of meat options to choose from. An always fresh, always Italian guarantee.

If you like to try local barbeque, be sure to swing by Firehouse BBQ. Enjoy hickory-smoked BBQ in Richmond’s oldest firehouse! While they are closed Sunday, you can eat there for lunch or dinner any other day of the week.

Long day of showing? Not wanting to go out to eat? We’ve all been there. Swing by Pizza King to pick up Indiana’s finest pizza cuisine.

If you too are sad about Square Donuts closing, we suggest Bismarck Donuts and Coffee. Open daily at 5 a.m., you can fuel your day with fall specialty donuts or any of the classics you are craving.

Bored after a day of registration and showmanship? Boy, do we have a Friday night activity sure to knock your socks off. Make your way to Lizton for the event of the season.
