Showpig.com Launches Two New Selling Options
Showpig.com has launched two NEW consignment sale options that will diversify its auction offerings and better serve all segments of the buying and selling community. The Debut and The Buy Now Event consignment sales will take the place of The Open consignment auction and come with unique marketing and positioning tactics to amplify the buying and selling experience.
The Debut is a new consignment auction targeted to help new breeders that are breaking into the market and breeders that may be looking for a re-introduction or re-launch within the Showpig.com buying community. This auction option offers an elevated level of complimentary marketing provided by the Showpig.com team that will help create a launch pad for consignors and breeders to introduce themselves to the 50,000 Showpig.com internet visitors and 25,000 social media followers. Resources to help showcase a breeder will include an exclusive interview with Kevin Wendt that will be to introduce an operation, a feature story that highlights the background of a breeder, targeted email blasts and social media posts that highlight individually consigned lots and live sale previews that showcase feature lots within the consignment offering.
The Debut is an auction platform option perfect for breeders who have never sold online, consignors who are brand new to the market, re-branding or changing direction in their operation or simply breeders who may be looking for help with gaining trust amongst established buyers on Showpig.com. Breeders who have consigned in past Open auctions or who have not consigned online within the last 12 months are eligible to consign in The Debut. Four dates have been set for The Debut auction events in 2022, February 28, March 21, May 9 and August 29.

Showpig.com is also pleased to offer another unique consignment auction opportunity in their repertoire; The Buy Now Event.
Just as you would expect from the title, the Buy Now Event is a weekly offering of show pigs, breeding stock, semen and any other livestock related items that are listed at a set value price and available for purchase with one bid. This style of auction will not only allow consignors a space to list a limited number of lots with the flexibility to list lots at a predetermined value, but it also provides the convenience of instantaneous purchasing decisions and eliminates the waiting on a standard horse race closing. Another intriguing part about this auction, is it’s not limited to just your standard “sale season show pigs” – farm or livestock equipment, memorabilia pieces, holdovers and much more can also be listed to “buy now” in these consignment events.
In spring of 2022, The Buy Now Event will be offered every Thursday from February 10 through April 14; as well as on May 12. The sale will be open for bidding for 11 hours; opening each time at NOON EST, and closing at 11 PM EST. Consignments are due each Monday by NOON, to allow time for the sale to be listed and included in all Showpig.com email and social media advertising.
