We sat down with Jeff Carnahan of Carnahan Farms to learn more about his operation and the pigs he is consigning in The Debut!
Jeff and Vickie Carnahan own and operate Carnahan Farms in Alpena, Arkansas. Carnahan Farms started as a project for their kids and the couple fell in love with showing swine. After spending time traveling the country to network with fellow breeders and bring the best genetics back to the farm, they are in their second year of farrowing. The Carnahans focus on raising Crossbreds and farrowing twice a year; in the spring for customers focused on shows in Arkansas and in the fall for families looking to exhibit in Oklahoma and Texas.
Jeff and Vickie hope to produce competitive swine while instilling the love of showing livestock in the hearts of their customers. Ultimately, the Carnahans want to fill the barn with sows that produce banner winners.
