Ryan and Stephanie Weldy of WW Show Stock took some time to tell us more about their operation. Tune in below to learn more!
Ryan and Stephanie Weldy credit their daughter’s desire to show gilts as their start in raising show pigs as WW Show Stock. Although her ambition to expand her showing career kicked it off, Ryan says his loves of raising pigs and the swine industry has been in his blood since his own days of exhibiting.
WW Show Stock is a 10-sow operation based in Goshen, Indiana that focuses on Crossbred, Hampshire and Chester swine. They farrow twice a year for each major show season.
“No one is harder on our livestock than myself,” says Ryan about their sale offering. The family strives to offer the best genetics possible.
While the ultimate goal is to make a profit, Ryan says his project is not all about money. The Weldys look forward to meeting new faces and seeing returning customers find success with their animals. On top of the friends the industry brings, raising show pigs teaches the Weldy kids the values of hard work.
The Weldys are hopeful that by participating in The Debut their pigs and brand will gain exposure to other parts of the country they are not currently selling to.
