We are excited to announce the addition of three summer interns at The Wendt Group!  Joining us as Showpig.com Event and Marketing interns this summer is Kourtney Gibson of Haskell, Texas and Abi Lilliard of Abilene, Kansas. Coming on board as a Statistics and Data intern is Sophia Zampino of Chardon, Ohio.

Kourtney is a senior agricultural communications student at Texas Tech University. Growing up, she showed market steers and swine.

Having a camera in her hand has allowed Kourtney to be back in the barns with her favorite people. When she is not in class or on the road, she enjoys spending time hanging out with the gang, catching up with the family, or working pigs with her favorite girls, Kate and Lily.

“I am beyond thrilled to spend my summer interning with Showpig.com and joining the TWG team. I cannot wait to engage with our industry’s youth and develop more of those meaningful relationships,” says Kourtney.

Abi is a sophomore at Kansas State University where she is studying agricultural communications with a minor in agriculture sales. Abi grew up on a diversified farming operation where the agriculture way of life was rooted and it sparked her passion for the industry.

“As an intern, I am looking forward to helping facilitate each event for Showpig.com, as well as connect with youth and industry professionals. I am so excited to join the TWG team because I know what skilled employees they have and I can’t wait to work with them towards their goals,” says Abi.

Sofia attends Ohio State University where she studies statistics. She grew up showing swine at the local, state and national level. Sofia has also attended the Showpig.com All-Star Camp several times and served on the All-Star Leadership Team.

When she isn’t busy with school and work, Sofia enjoys shooting film, trying local coffee shops, or doing anything athletic to tire out her dog!

“I’m most looking forward to using data and data visualizations from an agricultural standpoint throughout this internship,” says Sofia.

All of us at TWG are looking forward to an exciting summer with these three wonderful young women, and we hope our customers have the chance to meet them at our summer events!
