Re: Exotic/Crossbred Boar w/ red gene

Exotic/Crossbred Boar w/ red gene
My daughter has a duroc gilt that she is wanting to breed crossbred for showpigs. She would like to get some "red belted" pigs out of the litter. Does anyone have thoughts on a crossbred boar that throws "red"??

Labor Day Weekend Open Houses
I am thinking about going to the Lean Value Open House on September 1st. Being that I am from Michigan, I thought I might want to hit more than one, if possible. I have found Top Cut is having one August 31st and Real McCopy on September 2nd. Does anyone know of any others in that general area (of O...

Any suggestions on a Berkshire boar to use on a Top Dog (Walk the Dog) gilt...she goes back to Turn Me Loose on the bottom side? We will be looking to make some "barrows" more than replacement breeding stock.

Sow "drying up"????
<t>Our duroc sow delivered 3 babies on Saturday morning (less than 3 days ago). She has always had small litters (6 has been her largest)...we were giving her one more shot. She is eating fine and laying down to let piglets nurse but doesn't seem to really be producing milk. I think her bags are act...
