Re: Paylean

We typically only use Paylean the last two weeks maybe 18 days. You have time to evaluate and make the decision later.

Re: KGB-Manufactured date??

I copied an old post from KGB. Here's how you convert the manufacture date code: "Check the date code. It is on the side of the bucket and should look something like D12852A. That code is an example. The last number on the right is the year 2 = 2012). The 3 numbers justbto the left of that is the Ju...

Re: Paylean

i had intentions of finishing my daughters 4h pigs, on a paylean enriched feed. She is going to finish on the extreme high end with her pigs and may risk going over weight. Would it be best to scrap the feed we already bought with paylean in it (250#) to not risk finishing over weight ? This would ...

Re: Paylean

Paylean® delivers up to 20.6 percent increased average daily gain (ADG) and up to 15.2% in improved feed efficiency (FE). Because the present formula to calculate the lean gain index in swine derby shows places a significant value on ADG, a Paylean® advantage may be noted in derby shows. Also a feed...

Crossroads and Chad Hill have large Duroc studs, they should have a boar that will work for you.

Devon.behmer - To increase muscle and trim some fat, feed 1 to 2 lbs a day of the Fitter 35 plus your show feed. You should post in the Purina Hot Spot forum so you can get answer from the expert Dr Burgoon.

I don't know what's the issue with Ivomec but you can go with Dectomax in the meantime.

Re: supplement help

Nice pig, I would like to see her more level and flexible through the hip and more fluid in her stride. She's on the hard side as well and needs some fat cover. I will be out there on June 2nd and can take a look at her if you like. Current weight 5/15 = 200 lbs Max weight 7/1 = 286 lbs (because she...

Re: Has anybody seen this?

Yes, I have successfully castrated pigs with this issue. It's a little harder but can be done without special equipment. Need to watch for hernias as well. You can stitch the hernias closed if needed. I would think a vet would have no issue doing this procedure.

Re: Show pig needs to gain weight ASAP!!!

Pulsing Paylean is giving the pig Paylean for 2 weeks then off two weeks. Since you only have 4 weeks you could do 1 week on 1 week off then for the last 14 days or until you show.

If you are targeting breeding at 19 days from now you could wean and use Matrix.
