Barrow maker

Looking for everyone's option on a good cross boar that is a proven barrow maker. Have a Cowboy x Red Sky Gilt that is good and square legged and big bodied. Just need to clean her up through the head and neck, and flex better off her rear two. Thanks for the help!

Triple B seman quality

Has anyone had an issue with sows not settling with seman from here. Had 2 last month that have been bred twice before no issue. Just wondering why they didn't settle this time?

Total Addiction - Triple B

Has anyone used him. Was wondering if he has good depth of quality in his litters. And what things to expect. I like the class 2 boar he sired at Indy this summer. I ordered a couple doses yesterday and I'm pretty excited to see what happens.

Best Hamp Program?

I am curious what everyone thinks who has the best set of Hamp boars and or produces the best Hamp gilts. Looking into getting my first pure Hamp gilt and wonder where I should go.

Babies

I am relatively new to breeding this will be my second litter. Question is how far along, or how far from farrowing should the babies be big enough for you to be able to them feel kicking inside the sow. I have one due on Jan 7th, Everytime I am out there I rub her belly and she lays on her side. I ...

Bred with only 1 Dose

I had a gilt come into heat two days ago. I had one dose left from another order so I used it. And was not able to get a second one in her. I checked on her this morning and she was out. How much could 1 dose affect litter size as compared to two.? Or will she not take at all.

Thanks

Breeding a Gilt

I have a gilt that is about 1 year old. She showed signs of standing heat yesterday morning. I walked the boar by her and threw the AI buddy on and she stood with ears pinned. So I went out last night to put the first dose in her. She started out fine and got about 1/4 through the bag and just stopp...

Re: Need some assistance

I just talked with my old FFA teacher and he said it's not uncommon for a Gilt to be 2-3 days late.

Need some assistance

I have a Gilt that was breed on April 6th. She is due this Friday July 29th. Her belly just started to look like it is filling out last week. Its is noticeabley bigger now. But her milk sack is not filling out. I would have thought it would be full looking by now. Does this mean she is not pregnant?

Cross Gilt to a York boar

I have a dark cross gilt that is about 240lbs. She is stout made in front 2/3 but she looses it in her hind legs. Could use more rib depth also. I was thinking of breeding her to a pure York that is going to give me good structure and hopefully consistency. Was wonder how many people have done this ...
