my advice for all of them is to work the skin and hair. none of them appear to be bad but they coould use work. my advice is to scrub them all with a stiff brush twice a day.

it really doesnt matter. the point of showmanship is to drive the hog. whichever hand you hold the whip or whatever you use doesnt matter. its all personal preference

keep feedin them half feedings and then the last 2 or so days bring them back, this worked for us. we had a barrow that weighed 299 two days before the show and he ended up 279

what is your personal favorite brand of feed for showpigs n why?
Ex. showrite, showtec, sunglo

shavings are deff the best type of bedding but in the winter we do put straw on top of the shavings so the pigs can curl up in it and stay warm. (but that also means we have to clean pens more often lol)

personally i think u need to have a good balance of being aggressive and calm, with a slight edge going to aggressiveness. always keep eye contact and never get cut off

personally my two favorite judges are al shimke and jim mccoy. i have showed under them both and i feel that they both do a really good job and they both have a good eye for the hogs

personally i keep it simple... solid color shirts. i usually wear green just cuz i like the color but i personally think its about showing off the animal and not yourself so dont make yourself stick out too much

i wasnt in the shoe but i was standing by the holding pens where the kids were. kevin wendt was the judge and he asked the kid "do you think you made it?'" the kid said he didnt know but said he felt confident. personally i dont know how i would have responded to this
