Has anybody seen this?
In the attempts of helping castrate for a friend, I found one testicle of the pig where it should be and the other sucked up halfway up the belly. The testicle can be seen... almost looking like a hernia but in the wrong place.Needless to say I didn’t do anything and will need vet assistances for su...

Re: Farrowing barn camera
Make sure you buy a wireless camera that has network capabilities, if you want to be able to view when you are away from home. My husband bought mine and thought it had that, but it does not, so I am going to continue to use that one, but also buy another that does. Buy one with night vision, that a...

Re: Farrowing Issue.
I just used Transrite for the first time. The sows farrowed quickly, without incident, all babies alive and the sows got right back on feed. I will never farrow again without it. :D I want to know the shelf life as well. ( can you freeze it etc) I will try to call and post back here, unless mtbkmom ...

Re: watjie $380,000 blue xbred boar!!
Exactly what is the difference between a breeder and just a random person bidding on the pig??? You set the value of that pig in your own mind/budget and you bid accordingly! If someone values the animal more than you and you get outbid then so be it, that's the purpose of an auction. It happens at...

Re: Boar Stud Question
It would be a good idea to take a picture of the semen bottles with the date on them, so you can email them a pic in the event there is a question. They should give you overrun pricing in my opinion. Strange they didn't collect the boar that morning knowing you were on the way and the fact you had p...
Re: Sportage
I thought he was a SA boar but cannot find him in any of the catalogs I have saved. I found a 2008 flyer with Free N Easy on the front . He was a Crossbow x Full Power. Anybody else remember Sportage?

Re: Crossbred classic
Thanks for responding Dean. I would pay $20.00 for an "all access package". I think alot of people would. Not saying you would make money at it but might be worth a try next year. I would glady pay as well. I would pay months in advance if need be to be sure the funds were in place to mak...

Re: Farrow outside or in the barn?
Yes, heat lamp for sure, 24/7 with those temps. Newborns need about 90 degree temps to keep warm. ( and a draft free environment) As they grow, they require less, but always give them the choice of a warm area.
