Make sure that the gilt drives good so that the judge doesn't see what you don't want him to see.

Re: Boar Not Getting High Enough
Some boars are better at it than others. Age and size plays a part. So does conformation. Selection has been towards a little to short legged and a little to short bodied for awhile now. If the boar looks like he'd be better at throwing a block than mounting a sow I would avoid them. Call the breede...

Re: Am I overreacting?
I'd be upset. I'd tell him, try to be polite. Anyone with an education knows that you don't do that.

Re: Maternal Sires
Pretty tough question. Most farmers wouldn't readily admit that their sows aren't quite good enough. What do you think about breeding York until you have a productive base.

Re: Todays Bloodlines
Progeny really stamped his offspring. It seems like he was popular before the really big framed pigs came along. I don't remember Nails as well. Wasn't he pretty soft footed? I have sometimes wondered what happened to the Warren Carpenter herd. They were pretty unique. Kenny Urban as well. I'm guess...

Re: HELP! STRESS PIG IN TRAILER FOR SHOW
Sounds like the condition elevated when she became more stressed. A stress prone pig can die if stressed enough. The meat from such a pig is pale and watery. I wouldn't want to deal with a pig that died at a show.

We used to sell breeding stock. I would give a full refund.
