It depends upon what your pigs weigh. If they are at least 150 lbs or so, no it should slow growth. It has plenty of energy (8% crude fat), and energy fuels growth.

<r>Just a thought, we (HONOR) have two products that will help you. Champion Drive topdress does a great job at adding muscle shape over the pig's top at 1 lbs per day.<br/> <br/> High Octane Power Fuel will help with growth rate. I can get you in touch with our rep in Oregon if you like.<br/> <br/>...

<t>Just my thoughts:<br/> <br/> feed a showpig feed with at least 1.0% lysine and 5-6% crude fat<br/> feed additional energy - the two I am familiar with are HONOR Powerfill at 1 - 2 lbs per day, and High Octane Power Fuel at 1 to 1 1/2 lbs per day.<br/> <br/> Then feed Paylean for the final 21 days...

<t>Figure it this way:<br/> <br/> 453.6 grams in one lb.<br/> <br/> So, 453.6 X % lysine (remember to move the decimal two places to the left; example 1.2% = 0.012 is what you would multiply by)<br/> <br/> Then X by the lbs of feed per day. For example - Your feeding 5 lbs of a 1.2% lysine feed.<br/...

<t>Thank you for those kind words.<br/> <br/> Basically, lysine as expressed in grams per day increases as pigs grow. Lysine as expressed as a % of the diet decreases as the pig grows, because the pig is eating more as it gets bigger.<br/> <br/> Hope that makes sense. Here is a suggestion for lysine...

<t>bcbully: Yes, you can pulse Paylean for 14 days at a time to get more than one growth spurt.<br/> <br/> premiumquality: If you want 1 lbs per day gain, I would feed 3 lbs Powerfill per day. However, 59 days is a long time. You might consider feeding 2 lbs Powerfill, 1 lbs Champion Drive, and 1/2 ...

<t>There are 453.6 (454) grams in a lb. <t>I don't think the 30 days is a problem. Just as you stated the claim has been changed to the final 45 - 90 lbs of weight gain. Min. weight is 150 lbs, with no maximum weight and no withdrawal required. The legal amounts of Paylean are 4.5 to 9 grams/ton (they removed the 18 grams/ton).<br/> <br/>...

At 2 oz per day, that equates to 2.25 grams/ton (if I'm reading the Explode feeding directions correctly from their website). The min. legal amount is 4.5 grams/ton.

I think you're probably correct...at least the one sounds stress positive. I wouldn't give her any Paylean.

However, the Powerfill, Power Fuel, and the Champion Drive will help with growth.

Sorry, went back and read....if you're pigs are stress positive...no forget the Paylean. Are you sure they are stress positive?

If they are, increase the Champion Drive Topdress, this will help replace the Paylean.
