Re: Anyone know the withdrawal on naproxen...220mg( NSAID) ALEVE
I agree 100% with what LZDy said. If you talk to your veterinarian and they agree to make the request from FARAD as the veterinarian of record you'll get some information. My guess is it will be a long withdrawal. I had a client give a different oral NSAID a few years ago and FARAD recommended a 48 ...

Re: RhiniShield TX4 Swine Vaccine
The last time I checked paraplueroshield was the only thing stilll available. It's a lot of antigens in one shot so have epinephrine handy if you decide to go that way.

Re: Mycotoxins?
Yes dry by product like DDG is probably the most common but it's also true of the wet by products.

Re: Mycotoxins?
They have been bad with this corn crop and if you're using ethanol products the problem can be concentrated. The mycotoxin of major concern in breeding herds mimic the hormone estrogen and unfortunately the problem doesn't go away as soon as they are eliminated from the feed. It takes a couples mont...

Re: Matrix protocol
Matrix is oral only and you can start it anytime in the estrus cycle. We generally tell people to give the last dose on Thursday or Monday if they are not using shipped semen and Friday or Tuesday if they are using shipped semen and ordering for the next collection. Matrix is only labeled for gilts ...

We have a VSS700 at the farm I don't have any complaints about it but if I was buying one today I'd look at the wireless probe. I don't have any experience with that model but I like the concept.

Pulmonary health is improved by a more robust innate immune system as is digestive health, and the health of every other body system.

The immune support component of TrueGlo is the part we have patent pending. In addition, to that TrueGlo also has probiotics and probiotics and Yucca for gut health and a high enzyme activity proprietary Aspergillus oryzae for digestive efficiency. Then additional zinc and biotin to support skin and...

Re: Mange
Prolate does not work as well as the ivermectins when it comes to mange. Prolate is good for control but its not reliable to eliminate mange on every individual. If I were you I'd go with the second dose of ivermectin at around 18 days after the first. Pigs frequently itch worse after an ivermectin ...

I don't think the OP would go wrong visiting any and all of the breeders mentioned so far. In addition, given where the op is he'd be remiss if he didn't visit Dave Martin, Kelly Sheets, and Nathan Weisinger. Forgive me since I know I'm probably forgetting someone he'd drive by doing that tour.

Re: calf calm or melatonin?
The whole testing deal is getting harder and harder to answer as the tests get more sensitive coupled with zero tolerance policies that hold exhibition pigs to an entirely different standard than pigs sold to slaughter. There is no melatonin labelled for pigs but it is also produced naturally in pig...

Re: Sow with no milk after farrowing
The CtC went into both the gestation and lactation bulk bins for 14 days. We might have repeated it but it's been long enough ago I don't remember fo sure. There are not enough bulk bins to do anything more targeted. I don't think injection would be effective and in the new VFD environment I'd proba...
