Re: Needing to fill

Linders has a product called TNT - helps expand them in the middle. I fed TNT and depth charge together this year and really liked the results. The hogs inhaled the TNT!

Re: Being more competitive

Unfortunately every judge is different and has different opinions on what they like. Some like them more muscled, some prefer more finish. We have always tried to buy two similar pigs to raise, but this year we opted to buy two completely different pigs. One was more square made and muscular, while ...

Re: moorbody/moorfat

I believe Moorbody is to help expand their middle to make them look fuller. Will not add cover. I have never used Moorman's - don't have access to it. But, I have had excellent results with High Octane Heavy weight. Hogs always love it!

How quickly can you remove extra cover?

I have a barrow and a gilt weighing 245 and 260. Our show is in 10 days. They have been on paylean for one week along with 8 oz heavy weight per day, 16% feed and TNT. I feel they have too much cover and need to be trimmed up. If I just remove or reduce the Hvy Wt. now, will I see a difference in 10...

Have you deformed them lately? Purina Heavy weight definitely increases their appetite and puts weight on.

Re: Unbalanced barrow - need advice

We have two others that are doing well, and look good. Should we just throw in the towel on this one and start feeding for butcher, or keep plugging along since we are only 30 days out from the show? He seems to walk well, and enjoys getting out of the pen and walking.

Unbalanced barrow - need advice

One of my daughter's barrows is very unbalance. He is very broad and muscular in his front shoulders and wide across his back, but he lacks power from behind. His butt is saggy looking. We have 30 days to our show - He weighs 188 and is eating 4.5 lbs 16% feed a day along with 1 lb. Champion drive. ...

Re: Weight help please 14 days!

What's the protein and fat content? Could she handle Paylean at the end? Please provide more info. so we can gi...

Re: First Time showing Gilts

Make sure you are weighing at the same time of day - empty vs full pig will throw off your ADG.

When to start slowing gain? KGB?

We have 3 pigs for a January 20th show. Weights are 153, 140, 132. We have 75 days to show with max. weight of 270. They are all gaining over 2lbs./day. The heaviest gained 2.75 this last week! They are being fed Sunglo 16% finisher; 4.5 lbs/day and Vitafirm Sure Champ (1/2 box). What's the best wei...

I would like to see a pic of a $20,000 + pig. Was this an online sale?
