Re: Ivomec Ivermectin Injectable
I don't know what's the issue with Ivomec but you can go with Dectomax in the meantime.

Re: supplement help
Nice pig, I would like to see her more level and flexible through the hip and more fluid in her stride. She's on the hard side as well and needs some fat cover. I will be out there on June 2nd and can take a look at her if you like. Current weight 5/15 = 200 lbs Max weight 7/1 = 286 lbs (because she...

Re: Has anybody seen this?
Yes, I have successfully castrated pigs with this issue. It's a little harder but can be done without special equipment. Need to watch for hernias as well. You can stitch the hernias closed if needed. I would think a vet would have no issue doing this procedure.

Re: Show pig needs to gain weight ASAP!!!
Pulsing Paylean is giving the pig Paylean for 2 weeks then off two weeks. Since you only have 4 weeks you could do 1 week on 1 week off then for the last 14 days or until you show.

If you are targeting breeding at 19 days from now you could wean and use Matrix.

Get a hanging feeder that ties down on the bottom so they can't tip it over.

Re: Snake bite
I only know of one gilt that was bitten in the mouth, face and jowls. She was a breed gilt and she passed about a week after she farrowed, about 3 weeks after the initial bites.

Re: Pigs gaining...should we hold?
You can use Powerfill as part of your slowing ration. To get 1.5 lbs ADG you feed 2 lbs Powerfill and 2 lbs of your show feed grower or finisher. That ration will still meet their daily requirement of Lysine. You can ask KGB for more info on slowing rations from Purina.
Re: Paylean
No withdrawal with Paylean

Re: Heavy structured cross boar
There are plenty of boars that fit that. Best for you to select a few boar studs, call them and discuss your female and their boars. We recently used Never Before for similar traits.

Re: Guilt overdue
When inducing make sure you check, check again and then recheck breeding dates. If you used Lut or Estrumate correctly I would say that the drug was not the cause of the dead litter. If you induce any litter born before 110 days the pigs are not viable.
