Rib fill
I have a heavy muscle gilt who looks the best after she just ate a full meal after awhile she gets to be quite flat in her rib. My question is what is the best way of feeding her right before she goes into the ring to give her that full appearance to give her a fighting chance because she is going t...

Re: Paylean
This only my opinion, I think he will show well without it. He might improve a little with it, but I am not sure if his feet would handle the extra mass

Re: Breeding without standing?
If you are sure they are in heat what you can do is throw some feed down and breed them while they are eating. Since I don't have a boar this is what i have had to do with a few. Boar spray isn't always 100 percent either. You just do whatever it takes to get them bred, as long as your sure they're ...

Fitter 52
When would the best time to use fitter 52? Is it something you would use the last couple of weeks to firm up a show pig, or would you feed it for a longer-term?

Re: Sow just weaned
Most cycle 3-7 days after weaning, but that also depends on how long you left them nurse the last litter. If they nurse more than 21 days a few will have a quiet heat while nursing and won't cycle until 3 weeks after that. Pg600 might help them show a heat more, but it won't make them come in heat i...

Re: 155 days to get to 280 lbs. ?
Yes, you can do it, but everything has to go right. Worm every 30 days. You are probably going to have to feed milk or replace or some other kind of food to get them to eat as much as possible. The problem is you might not like the end result because you won't be able to exercise as much as needed

Thin gilt
I have a gilt who is due in about a month. The problem is I would like to see a little more weight on her. She has a very large belly and she is so thin her backbone is very visible. She gets all she wants to eat of a 14 percent dry sow ration my nutritionist made up, and has been wormed with safegu...

Re: New Show mom needs help
I am not expert, but what I would do is find another pig her size and put with her. The competition will make her eat more. Two I would only give her what she will eat in ten minutes then take the rest away until the next feeding. Slowly increasing it until she is eating what you want. Always fresh ...

Both shipments were priority. That is what made me upset. Ups claimed it was a sorting error on both.
