Breeding a gilt ?

Gilt began swelling on Friday when do I or when should she be ready for AI because she still won't stand with pressure to her back

Gilts should be bred about 12 hours after standing heat.

For us it is usually when the swelling starts to come down that they are more likely to exhibit standing behavior--rigid back is 1, but perking their ears, shaking/shivering. To get this don't just press on the back. Rub their teat line, pull their vulva up/down, rub their flanks up/down and then push on their backs. If all else fails,12 hrs after noted swelling we feed & breed to get them to hold still.
