Consigning to our first sale how short should the hair be clipped anything special should we put on our pigs

Your show will most likely have rules regarding these issues. Length usually varies between 1/2 to 3/4 inches. Topical skin products can or cannot be oil based. Each show is different.

It's a show pig sale , not out first time showing hogs ,first time taking pigs to a show/club pig sale thanks for the info but a 40-50 pig won't have 1/2 a 3/4 hair

Some people will clip at about a 1/4" and others do not clip they just make sure they are clean and shined up a little. Some of it depends on how much time you have and how many pigs you are selling.
