Either spray paint or more sun exposure.

We are considering a Duroc for Houston LSS. It would be a late October hog and am very interested on what you end up doing. Please keep us posted!

What form of iodine do you use and what concentration?

Stay away from Iodine, it will dry their skin out.
Here's what I have used for many years: 1/3 baby oil 1/3 show sheen and 1/3 mane and tail conditioner in a spray bottle. This acts as a tanning lotion and also keeps the skin and hair conditioned and will help with part two of your question. Apply liberally and brush in daily.
Keep tanning them outside, some are simply predispositioned to be a little lighter than others.
Good Luck
