Stubborn Barrow HELP!!!

Post by Taylor_Ann » Sun May 10, 2020 9:43 pm

Hi! My barrow is incredibly stubborn and WILL NOT walk without another pig around! He walks amazing when there is another pig but the minute you try to walk him alone he is an utter nightmare. He squeals like crazy and won’t respond to the whip at all. I know that I need him to walk well alone but I don’t know how to get him walking well without another pig around. It is very frustrating chasing him under fences and around the outside of the barn! HELP!!!!

Physically separate the pigs. If they are in the same pens move one. If they are next to each other then block it to where they cannot see each other. That will help break the bond.

Try feeding them in alleyway or exercise pen where they are seperated from eachother and can't see eachother.
Don't squat with your spurs on.
