Hello,
I’m relatively new to showing. My son has a York Cross gilt that developed a limp about a month ago and it seems to be getting worse. She was on cement with some sawdust. We added a significant amount of sawdust to give her extra cushion. The limp seems bad at first but gets better as she gets walking. We are a month before our county fair and this is my son’s first time showing. I’m looking for any help to get her healed up before the show. I have checked her feet and no cuts or anything. It seems more like her hip?
Any suggestions to help the limp?
Thanks,
Jen

Re: York Cross with a limp a month before Show
Did you ever find a solution to the limp? I have a chester that has a limp / stiff leg, I have added Moorflex for about a week now, hoping that it would help improve. It has yet to get better but I am new to this and might just need a little more patience.

If you are seeing the limp adding a joint supplement is probably not going to work. You want to add the supplement when they get about 100lbs. The supplements are better at prevention than they are healing.
