worming

Post by Pig lover » Wed Dec 09, 2015 9:50 pm

From the time the kids get their projects to show day is appox. 5 months. How often should they be wormed and what do you recommend? Is it better to use a diff product each time?

The warmer the weather is where you are located the more often you should deworm your pigs. So, if you're in the South, probably every 30 days this time of year. Every 34 days is probably enough depending upon what you use, but every 30 days has it's benefits.

We picked a day of the month (1st, 10th, etc... ) and marked the calendar for every month on that particular day. That way we knew it was time to deworm the pigs and we KNEW it was done.

About every 3rd time think about changing dewormers, or use one type this year and another next year.
