Help gaining KGB

Post by hannah24 » Sun Aug 20, 2017 12:02 pm

I am currently feeding 3lbs 709, 1lb champ drive, 8oz power fuel, 8oz heavy weight, and 2oz paylene per day. They barely clean it all up. We are 21 days til fair and need to be at least 220. Last Sunday we were at 150. Weighing tonight this is the first week on this raton as they just now reached 150.. Just wanted to see if there is anything I am doing wrong or anything else I can do to help increase my ADG. They are also getting spark to increase appetite and I am feeding all this in a slop form. We appreciate any help.

A little over 5 lb per day at 150 lb (or under) is nor far off.

Some things to consider:
- Heavy Weight is 70% fat, Power Fuel is 31% fat. Energy (calories) fuels growth. I would replace the Power Fuel with Heavy Weight

- if you haven't dewormer the pigs lately (in the last 30 days), I suggest deworming g them. If you use Safe-Guard (fenbendazole) calculate the dose and give 1/3 of the dose for 3 consecutive days

- check the water if it's not clear, fresh, cool and all the pig wants all the time it will limit feed intake and growth
