The pig can AVERAGE gaining 1.25 lbs per day. (285 - 250) / 28 days = 1.25 lbs/day . That is not much for 28 days.

1. take her off the self feeder
2. start hand feeding, twice per day
3. do not use a round black rubber pan to feed, use a plastic feeder that will hang on a panel etc... this will keep her head up when she's eating and will help to train her to keep her head up in the show ring. If you feed on the ground in a rubber pan the pig will look for feed on the ground in the show ring
4. divide the 28 days into 2 periods of 14 days
5. for the first 14 days feed:
(TOTAL DAILY FEED; DIVIDE INTO 2 EQUAL MEALS):
High Octane Powerfill 2 lbs
High Octane Champion Drive 1 lbs
High Octane Depth Charge 8 oz

The gilt should gain 1 lbs per day or less (0.90) on this diet. So, in 14 days she should weigh about 263 lbs with 14 days remaining. That calculates to 1.57 lbs per day.
For the remaining 14 days feed:
(TOTAL DAILY FEED; DIVIDE INTO 2 EQUAL MEALS):
HSC 909 1 lbs
High Octane Powerfill 2 lbs
High Octane Champion Drive 1 lbs
High Octane Depth Charge 8 oz

The gilt should gain about 1.4 lbs per day on this diet. In 14 days she should weigh about 283 lbs.
