Pushing one and holding one

Post by TPD986 » Tue Jan 16, 2018 3:21 pm

I was hoping I could get some advise on my daughters pigs and supplements to use. I think I have a game plan for each of them but wanted to get your thoughts to see if I finally seem to be getting this supplement thing. I am strictly using purina feed and supplements. I have emailed KGB just awaiting hopefully a reply from him but figured I would ask others as well.

1st pig - weighs 173, have 38 days until weigh in. Target weight 270 (Have to be between 236 - 290). Pig is gaining ok but obviously need to pick it up with this barrow. Could use some middle and top. Needs to be more defined in his rear muscles which I know may come as he gets a bit bigger. Sound pig. What are your thoughts on amount of feed and supplements to feed to reach close to our target weight?

2nd pig - weighs 215, have 38 days until until weigh in. Target weight 270 (have to be between 236 -290). Pig has gained very well so need to slow him a little so he does not go over weight limit. Just really needs to be defined overall, middle is ok, maybe some help in the flank area. Sound pig. What we your thoughts be for this guy ?

I have access to all Purina supplements except for Fiter 35. Feeding Purina 709.

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can give us.
