KGB feed help

Post by Jasmith9 » Wed Jun 13, 2018 4:23 am

I have a duroc Gilt I'll be showing at our state fair weighing around 180 pounds . There is no certain weight I would like too see just get her looking her best. Right now she is eating about 5 pounds of 909 and 8oz champion drive a day with some heavy weight. I need her to keep growing but need some cover and fill in the ham loin junction. I need a growth somewhere around 2 pounds a day gain

I also have a York Gilt that weights about 215. She is eating whatever I give her. She is on 4-5 pounds of oursow feed and 8 oz of champion drive with some heavy weight. She is really muscled and just trying to put cover on her. She kinda got to big to quick for her body and is walking diffrebt. So trying to keep her to 2 pounds a day but need cover anything will help thank you.

Thank you for the help.

For the Duroc gilt I suggest feeding at least 12 oz per day Heavy Weight. 909 will work fine. Also, the feeding rate for Champion Drive is 1 lbs per day (at least to accomplish what it needs to). The Champion Drive and Heavy Weight will help her with the hip loin junction.

For the Yorkshire same thing with Champion Drive and Heavy Weight, and if she will eat 16 oz per day Heavy Weight and keep eating everything else, do that.
