kgb-two different feeding situations
kgb-two different feeding situations
KGB- I have two different situations to ask about, one is a barrow that I am feeding 2 1/2 lbs of Fitter 52, and 2 1/2 lbs of champion drive per day to try to add more top shape. He has good mass now, but now needs to be more crisp in his top and keep his mass and cleanliness to his front end. Will payelan do this for him? The second situation is that I am feeding another barrow that needs more overall mass in his top, more expansion to his rib, and significant fill to his flank over the next 21 days. He is currently on 3 lbs of 719, 1 lb of oats, and 1 lb of ultra full per day. He needs to gain about 2.1-2.2 lbs per day over the next 21 days to get to the goal of 280
Re: kgb-two different feeding situations
So the first Barrow is getting 5 lb per day; 2.5 lb Fitter 52 and 2.5 lb Champion Drive? If you’ve fed this very long the pig should have zero fat cover. And you are wanting to add Paylean on top of that? Crisp to me means peeling a little fat while adding a tick of muscle shape.
If you feed (Total per day)
Fitter 52. 2.5 lb
Champion Drive. 2.5 lb
Paylean 900. 1 oz
The Barrow should be one big ball of muscle with zero body fat.
For the second pig that needs to average more than 2 lb per day gain, just a thought; 719 has a rather large inclusion of ground steam rolled oats. You do not need to feed the rolled oats as it is just taking up room in the Total diet.
So to grow fast, put on more top and flank, and rib I suggest feeding;
(Total daily feed; divide into 2 equal meals):
HSC 719. 3
HO Heavy Weight. 4 oz
HO Ultra Full. 2 lb
HO Champion Drive. 1 lb
HO Depth Charge 1/2 lb
Every 3-4 days increase Heavy Weight by 4 oz until you are feeding 12 oz per day. Also in 5-7 days increase Delth Charge to 1 lb. BUT. With that much Depth Charge the Barrow May not eat all its food and may grow slower. You will probably have to make a decision whether you want the pig to gain quickly or have more rib shape.
