We are thirty days out from my child's first county fair. We have a great pig in the barn that the breeder would like to see come in around 275 lbs. The minimum weight for the fair 240 lbs with a max weight of 290 lbs. I have been trying to push her along since the beginning of July. Her ADG from July 7th- July 21st was 1.8 lbs (15 day period). Her ADG from July 21st-Aug 3rd was 2.07 lbs (13 day period).
I am currently feeding Purina Honors Show Chow 719 and have been since May. We wet feed in the morning 2.5 lbs of 719 feed with 5 oz of Heavy weight and same mixture for night feeding. She has the self feeder as well with dry 719 and electrolytes mixed in. She seems to eat alot with little to no waste. I am concerned with the 10 oz of heavy that I am feeding her I am losing her musculature due to fat cover. Suggestions on how to bring her muscle back without her rate of gain dropping?

Re: 719 & Heavy Weight
The pig weighs 200lbs and weigh-in day is September 4th. Minimum weight is 240lbs.
Re: 719 & Heavy Weight
Ok her weight is good. I suggest adding 1 oz per day High Octane Paylean 900. Paylean will add muscle and improve leanness.
If you do not want to use Paylean, then add 1 lb per day High Octane Fitter 52. But, Paylean will also increase growth rate, but Fitter 52 will not.

Re: 719 & Heavy Weight
Thank you for your suggestion! The 719 is a medicated feed is there a withdrawal time for that?
Re: 719 & Heavy Weight
After reading more on this page, would champion drive also be a good one to throw in the mixture with heavy weight and paylean for shape? If yes, would this be a good combo?
2.5 lbs of 719
5oz heavy weight
1 oz of paylean
1 lb of champion drive? (Does this replace any base feed?)

Re: 719 & Heavy Weight
Yes, it will help with muscle as well. That diet is fine.
