Need to Soften Top line

Post by srd1984 » Thu Dec 19, 2019 11:18 am

KGB,

I have a cross gilt that is extremely heavy muscled. Her spring of rib and curve of belly to her rear flank is not bad, but her topline is well defined from her blade into that ham/loin junction. Currently on 6 lbs 819 and 1 lbs of Ultra Full per day (broken into 2 feedings). What to you recommend to soften up her topline? Consumption and ADG is not an issue.

I would add High Octane Heavy Weight. Start at 4 oz per day. If you are short on days about every 3-4 days increase by 4 oz until you are feeding 12 oz per day. If she will eat all the feed (adding Heavy Weight in addition to what you are feeding now, then do that). If she starts leaving feed, then reduce the 819 by the same amount of Heavy Weight you add.
