Stiff in the hind end

Post by Sriggs96 » Mon Sep 12, 2022 10:14 pm

I have a Duroc barrow two weeks out from showtime that is very stiff in the hindend. What can I give him to loosen him up? He was mostly raised on dirt, but put on concrete for this past month. Could it be an injury or stiffness due to being on the concrete?

It could be. More than likely it’s structural if he started after being put on concrete.

Get some Therma Flex and mix it 50:50 with water in a spray bottle. Twice a day spray his shoulders top down and to the ground. Spray his top from shoulders back. And spray from his hip loin junction everything back and to the ground. His entire rear end.

Do this twice per day and especially prior to walking. It tingles so at first he’ll jump around a little but he will quickly get used to it.
