Needing to fill

Post by Pig Man » Fri Jan 27, 2017 9:22 pm

We currently have roughly 3wks till Show and cut off is 280 with a 10lb lead way. As of Wednesday our barrow was weighing 233. I've been and still feeding Linders. I was feeding 1lb 611 and 1lb 685 1/2lb oat groats and 1ounce of Full Figure 2x a day. He was weighing 213 and he just wasn't filling out so, two weeks ago I started to add 1ounce of Vitamin P 2x a day with that. Well then in a week he jumped in weight to 225. So I quickly backed him off the Vitamin P, because I didn't want him to try and run away with weight. Eight days later just this past Sunday he weighed 231 then as mentioned Wednesday he weighed 233. I've been told to add some Moor Body and Depth Charge in it and give more fat as well as more oat groats. So as of yesterday everything I went to 1/2lb 611 and 1 1/2lb 685 and 2lb oat groats. Today the feed store told me that depth charge and moor body are pretty much the same, so I got the Moore Body. This evening I added only 1 once of the Moor Body and I am feeding wet. My thoughts on this is to stay with the feed mix he's on with only a ounce twice a day of the Moor Body till Sunday which is normally our weigh day and see what we got. Then hopefully increase another extra ounce twice a day. Then about in a week and a half add the Vitamin P again with that about a ounce twice a day. As mentioned we've got exactly 22 days till Show and 47lbs to play with for exactly 280 to fill him out. I just don't wanna make a mistake to put him over in weight. I know I have the 10lb lead way, but don't wanna bank on it if ya know what I mean. Can someone please telling me if I am doing right or should I change something up.

Linders has a product called TNT - helps expand them in the middle. I fed TNT and depth charge together this year and really liked the results. The hogs inhaled the TNT!

That's what I was thinking at first was TNT. But I was told that MoorBody and Depth Charge is the same so I got MoorBody. Now after feeding what I mentioned before just adding 1 ounce of the MoorBody per feeding 2x a day my wife weighed today and supposedly weighed 254. That's 4.2 pounds a day in 5 days. I'm not seeing how. Any explanations

try 1.5lbs 613 and 1.5 groats 2X daily with TNT and i bet you'll be happy, should produce about 1.5 lbs of gain per day, then that last week up the 613 to 2.5lbs per feeding.

I'm really not wanting to buy any more feed since I really got enough till Show. What can I do with 611, 685, oat groats, full figure, vitamin p, and moorbody

I don't think two ounces of moorbody is going to do you any good at all. I would try 1/2 lb 611 1/2 lb 685 1 lb oat groats 1 lb moorbody and 8 oz full figure
Work hard and dream big. Be passionate about what you believe and success will follow. 50 to 1 the movie
