I showed a boar at WPX and he had more backfat than I would like to have seen. Now I have a prospect boar from the winter type conference. He is about 170lbs. Like my boar for WPX he is getting pretty fat. I'm feeding him sunglo G-18 right now with in motion, starglo, and full tank. I would like to stay away from using paylean to try to keep him from getting as fat as my WPX boar. One of my friends told me to increase protein and decrease fat in his feed. I was wondering if anyone thinks it is the best way to keep a boar growing but not putting on a lot of fat. Or if anyone has more experience with this problem

Starglo should help, but Purina's FITTER 35 is an awesome product to help trim fat.

A regular exercise routine is also going to be your friend.
