Ok. So this is my first year with a hog! Our final weigh in is January 19th. But here is my issue. My pig probably doesn't even weigh 100 pounds yet. Because of the biosecurity issues where she was originally staying, she got SO sick, she almost died. So i moved her. She was doing good and then got sick again. Now we hope she is on the mend.
So my question is...what feeds can i give her that'll helo her gain, without breaking my bank? I'm hundreds and hundreds of dollars in with this pig.
She currently is sick (of course, so is really only drinming chocolate milk, gatorade, and her medsbwhile eating some show meal.
There are horsr weight gain supplements. Woukd tjst work? What about sweet feed? Vet said is would be very hard to do but i could do it.

I hate to discourage you, but it probably ain't going to happen. If you have an animal that has been chronically ill it will be virtually impossible to turn it around in that short of a period.

Agree with PAC. I think I figured 43 days 'til weigh in.....what ADG is needed between now and 1/19...for even 235 lbs? I figure 3.14 ADG. Show the pig as an under weight for the experience or start looking for replacement pig that weighs about 150 at least right now.
