filling/gaining ???

Post by lindner115 » Tue Jul 24, 2018 10:28 am

I've got a show pig thats 175 with 36 days till weigh in, target weight is as heavy as i can get. at least 240. He has been on a 16% feed since 100 lbs, i was under impretion it was show pig ration but turns out its just market hog feed, anyway i've switched to your 16% show pig ration(at 40 days out). im at
5 lbs of 16% a day, 6oz heavy weight, 4 gram paylean. slopped. i'm working up to 6-7 lb feed if they ll eat it. (there is a less showy pal for
competition, seperated when fed but facing each other.)

my plan with paylean was to do 14 days on, 14 days off, 14 days back on, that puts me at 2 days off before travel. Pig needs as much weight as possible, but also needs fill in lower 1/3. Can i get that and still be gaining high daily gain? thought of adding some depth charge or ultra fill? champion drive?, but will this take away from gaining lbs by just adding fill? or is it just plain too late? thanks.

Essential Feeds Wide Open is a tremendous bulk-type fiber product that specifically promotes center body development without sacrificing any gain; it actually promotes normal weight gain when added to a ration. Essential Feeds X-Pando is another pelleted product that directly targets the lower rib and flank areas, and a product that is extremely palatable when compared to similar top dresses. Both great options for what your describe.
