Fitter 52

Post by Jdelgado » Sun Dec 09, 2018 8:35 pm

Has anybody had any experience with fitter 52? Do y’all recommend me feeding last couple of weeks or can I start a gilt weighing 150lbs but maybe add some fat?

We used this last season right after it came out...I don't think it is intended to be used as soon as 150lbs. We used it for the last 2 weeks with additional fat supplement and it made the muscles pop, but still kept a nice cover on. I know KGB actually recommends that you get them a little sloppy before using it to keep that cover. A little goes a long way! We'll always use it at the end going forward.

You can feed Fitter 52 longer than 2 weeks at a time. However, I suggest taking into account 1) what you are trying to do, 2) how long you have until show time, and 3) whether you should add fat or not.

Paylean (ractopamine HCl) does 3 things very well:
1. increase muscle
2. decrease body fat (if fat is not added to the diet)
3. increase growth rate (for 14 to 18 days or so)

Fitter 52 although NOT ractopamine HCl, does 2 of those things:
1. increase muscle
2. decrease body fat

So, if you are feeding it just for more muscle and you do NOT want to burn fat then I suggest adding HIGH OCTANE Heavy Weight along with it. The same goes for Paylean.

If you are intending to burn fat then that is where the 2 weeks at a time come in, usually the final 2 weeks or so leading up to show time. The pig does NOT have to be sloppy fat, but Fitter 52 is great tool for reducing fat in a hurry. Or, building muscle in a hurry.

Paylean can be tough on joints, hooves and pads, and attitudes. Fitter 52 does none of that.

At what rate of Fitter 52 will I get the best results of adding muscle and mass. I want to continue to gain 1.5-2 lbs per day, along with feeding 709 and around 1/2 lb or so of heavyweight per day
