Feeding crushed corn

I have recently been able to get access to crushed corn and was wondering how much of this I could be feeding to my daughter's show pig. It will help our costs alot but I don't want it to negativity effect the pig. Someone told me too much corn can make the fat yellow, is this true. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Just corn in any form has an upside down Calcium:Phosphorous ratio which could result in bad things. Just corn is only 8% protein (book value, but actual is more like 7.5%). No minerals, no vitamins.

Yes adding corn to a properly formulated and fortified show pig feed WILL negatively impact your Showpig. If you are just going to eat it and not show it that’s a different story.

Thanks KGB. My plan is to just give half a cup of corn every feeding because it seemed to make her eat more aggressively. She is currently on honor 809 with some champion drive and doing well. The small amount every feeding shouldn't do any harm right?

That amount shouldn't hurt anything.
