We have two barrows, both weighing 260 right now. District Fair in 12 days, limit is 290, state fair in 35 days limit is 300. I need some holding help. What do you have in mind? Thank you!

So for the first show the pig can gain 2.5 lb per day (290-260) - 12 days; for the second show it can gain 1.14 lb per (300 - 260) / 35 days.

So, my suggestion is to manage weight gain to about 1 lb per day for the next 12 days by feeding:
(Total daily feed; divide into 2 equal meals)/
High Octane Powerfill. 3 lb
High Octane Depth Charge 1/2 lb

IF the pig has some fat cover to spare at this point the feed;
(Total daily feed; divide into 2 equal meals):
High Octane Fitter 35. 3 lb
High Octane Depth Charge 1/2 lb

The pig should gain about 0.3 lb per day on this diet. So, in 12 days it should weigh about 264 with 23 days remaining. Then the pig could gain 1.6 lb/day (300 - 264) / 23 days = 1.6 lb/day. Much better than 1.14 from now until your second show.

Thank you! After some previous reading, this is what I decided to do. I could not find any powerfill locally today, but got depth charge and fitter 35. The chester barrow will be fine, he has cover to spare. The York barrow however does not have as much cover, can I mix in some heavyweight to maintain his cover? Thanks

Yes. Start at 4 oz per day.
