I have a gilt currently weighing 145 and it has no muscle tone at all. We have state shows Feb 19th-22nd,2020 and needs to be at least 215 to meet weight. Any advice on getting good muscle tone and having this crossbred gilt to meet weight. I'm currently feeding showtech 18 high fat.

You might want to consider paylean and/or the final burst feed from Moormans.

How much paylean per feeding would you suggest. She's eating 3 1/2 pounds in the morning and evening of the high fat 18 showtech.

I personally have seen really good results from the 4.5g/per ton ration. It gets a muscle pop and weight gain with less risk of the attitude problems.

Ok so that's.18ounces per feeding. My kids ffa teacher told me to start with 1/2cup of paylean per feeding x 5 days hold for 5 days and drop down to 1/4cup for 5 days hold for 5 days and then increase to 3/4 for 5 days. Do you think that's to much. I'm scared a little bit on giving so much and she free up on me.

How much in weight is your cup? Which product are you using?

It's an 8oz cup that comes with the showtech feed. I'm feeding hi fat 18% showtech feed.

So Moorman's lean maximizer work's like this:

4.5g/ton = 2 ounces per day (1oz per feeeding)
9g/ton = 4 ounces per day (2oz per feeding)

using the cup method suggested would be way over feeding. Legally you need to be feeding at least 5 lbs of 16% or higher base feed. Good Luck!
