Are they eating to much?

Post by VAMabel » Tue Apr 28, 2020 8:55 am

We are new to show pigs. We have two crossbreeds and they are eating about 4-5 pounds each a day. They weighed 70 pounds on April 22nd. someone told me that I didn't need to feed them anymore, and another told me to if they are eating it feed them cause they will pull back in the summer heat. After I dewormed them on the 22nd their appetite seems like it has increased. both are getting exercise. We have them on 18% soybean show base feed. Any advice?

It they were mine. As long as they are cleaning it all up and not wasting it i would give them what they all they will eat right now. They will slow down when it gets hot

They will if you don’t have a way to get them cooled down.
