Have a barrow who is going to need fat trimming. He’s weighing 130lbs with the show in September and target weight of 240-270. Is it to early to start 35?

Maybe. Too soon for sure to feed it straight. However, you can feed it at 1 lb per day along with regular Showpig feed to help build muscle and prevent excessive fat accumulation. By the way .... Fitter 35

Thank you. I’m feeding 719 right now, around 2.25lbs 2x a day with a handful of oats. I just separated hogs this week, I believe he was eating a majority of the feed for both hogs so probably I’ll give it a few weeks and see what happens now that I can really control intake. Still have 77 days until show so I have some time just don’t want to start to early or for that matter to late.
