Need to Hold HARD! Help!

Post by Phoenix-Rising » Fri Aug 20, 2021 6:52 pm

I have a massive, heavy built barrow with lots of "padding" on him who is currently 275 ish (I can't get a perfect weight because he's squirrelly.). We have 19 days till weigh in and I need him to be no more the 285 hard maximum.
What should I feed and how much to get him to loose some padding and keep his weight down? I did it last year but I'm a little scared this year. Any help appreciated! He's the best pig I've produced and I HAVE to show him.

But “padding” I’m assuming you are talking about fat cover. If so, feed:

(Total daily feed; divide into 2 equal meals):
High Octane Fitter 35. 3 lb
High Octane Depth Charge. 8 oz

He should gain about 0.3 lb per day or about 5-6 lb in 19 days.
