Bred Gilt is Coughing

Post by MetzPigLady » Mon Nov 12, 2018 9:55 am

New here to the breeding/farrowing game so any advice would be great!!! I have a bred Duroc gilt that is coughing. Is it safe to give her medication? If so, what do you recommend?

There are alot of things that can make a pig cough. It could be a sickness that requires medication. Worms that would require a good wormer. Or dust or allergens from your surroundings. You need to do a thorough examination. And if your not sure call a vet. I cant answer your question without more information.
