Mange or something else?

Post by 4Hmomma » Sat Mar 23, 2019 8:01 pm

Our hog show is in a few weeks and all of a sudden, our very easy project has bumps! We have been doing research and I am wondering if it is mange. It started in one pig, kept up top and now it is on another pig. It is under his arms, the insides of his thighs and on his belly.

Looks like mites to me. Givea shot of ivomec and change your bedding. And it should clean up in a couple days.

Agree that it's mites. 18 day withdrawal on Ivomec, but it will clear it up no problem.

If you have enough time with withdrawal you should hit them again 10-14 days later because Ivermectin doesn't kill the eggs.

Is there something that works similar to ivomec that is IM instead of under the skin like ivomec?
