Skin issue (pic)

Post by gsp31 » Mon Apr 29, 2019 8:43 pm

We have a December Berkshire gilt that has scaly skin around her hooves and patterns. She has been ivomec’d a couple weeks ago and all pigs recently treated for mites with prolate. Several pigs in the barn and this is the only one with this issue and it’s driving her crazy itching. Looks fungal to me. Any suggestions?

Unsure if it its fungal, however my pig kept getting sore spots on her legs and I kept putting a generous amount of Vermont original bag balm on the sores, and started giving her ORALX Micro B12 12x supplements, for cellular health and it helped he coat and hooves a lot, highly recommend! I got the supplements at Atwoods, they are originally for horses, however i just slimmed down the portions and gave it to her every other day, and also fed with a Probios supplement, and usuallly gave it to them at feed time.
