We have three sows pregnant, two are due in February and one due in March. Each were vaccinated with FarrowSure Gold 2 weeks prior to breeding. They will be vaccinated with Rhini Shield TX4 and LitterGuard LT-C pre-farrowing. These sows were born on the property and have never left, we have not brought any new pigs in either, their piglets will be sold for fair pigs. Do we need to vaccinate the sows for Mycoplasma, Circovirus, and Influenza pre-farrownig? Or will vaccinating the piglets at three weeks old according to the vaccine directions be enough? I'm wondering how vulnerable the piglets will be in that three week time frame. I'm hesitate to spend the money on the FluSure XP vaccine for just the three sows since it will not be usable by the time the piglets are old enough to vaccinate.
