I am a 4-H leader and have a parent asking if they can use Eucalyptus chips/grindings instead of pine shavings? Can anyone please help me?

Just have to keep the Koala’s at bay. Couldn’t resist.

Can’t imagine this ..... pine shavings give off a massive odor cloud in a barn. If they are potent I would think not but if mild as opposed to the levels of the plants I’m not sure of a downside.
