Warning for all!

Post by Non-Sequitor » Mon Jan 14, 2008 9:41 am

An associate recently forwarded a report that a common solvent used in meat processing plants was responsible for the deaths of two people near Madison Wisconsin last week. The chemical had reached dangerous levels in the air and when these people entered the area they were killed. This chemical Dihydrogen Monoxide has been shown to be very dangerous. Following are some documented facts about this common cleaning agent.

1) It can cause temporary blindness.
2) It is a major component of acid rain.
3) Inhalation can cause respiratory arrest.
4) A woman in California recently died by drinking this material.
5) In the gaseous state it can cause severe burns.
6) This chemical has been found in the cancer cells of colon and liver cancer patients.
7) Many children who experience asthma attacks have experienced recent exposure to this compound.
8 ) The government has not established acceptable exposure limits for this solvent.
9) Dihydrogen Monoxide has been found in detectable levels in processed pork, beef and chicken.

Given all of the above I hope you will contact your representatives to lobby for an immediate end to the use of this product in the food processing industry.

Very interesting indeed.
Could you post a link to where this report can be found?

If it was just a forwarded message, post it here for us to read also?

Thanks,
Greg

Here some more info...Rod you may want to check into this

Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death.

Despite the known dangers of DHMO, it continues to be used daily by industry, government, and even in private homes across the U.S. and worldwide. Some of the well-known uses of Dihydrogen Monoxide are:

* as an industrial solvent and coolant,
* in nuclear power plants,
* by the U.S. Navy in the propulsion systems of some older vessels,
* by elite athletes to improve performance,
* in the production of (polystyrene),
* in biological and chemical weapons manufacture,
* as a spray-on fire suppressant and retardant...

Subject: TOXIC CHEMICAL ALERT!!

The Invisible Killer

Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death.

Dihydrogen monoxide:

* is also known as hydroxyl acid, and is the major component of acid rain.
* contributes to the "greenhouse effect."
* may cause severe burns.
* contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape.
* accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.
* may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes.
* has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.

Contamination Is Reaching Epidemic Proportions!

Quantities of dihydrogen monoxide have been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in America today. But the pollution is global, and the contaminant has even been found in Antarctic ice. DHMO has caused millions of dollars of property damage in the US.

Despite the danger, dihydrogen monoxide is often used:

* as an industrial solvent and coolant.
* in nuclear power plants.
* in the production of styrofoam.
* as a fire retardant.
* in many forms of cruel animal research.
* in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.
* as an additive in certain "junk-foods" and other food products.

Companies dump waste DHMO into rivers and the ocean, and nothing can be done to stop them because this practice is still legal. The impact on wildlife is extreme, and we cannot afford to ignore it any longer!

The American government has refused to ban the production, distribution, or use of this damaging chemical due to its "importance to the economic health of this nation." In fact, the navy and other military organizations are conducting experiments with DHMO, and designing multi-billion dollar devices to control and utilize it during warfare situations. Hundreds of military research facilities receive tons of it through a highly sophisticated underground distribution network. Many store large quantities for later use.

The Horror Must Be Stopped!

Act NOW to prevent further contamination. Find out more about this dangerous chemical. What you don't know can hurt you and others throughout the world.

Please forward to all your friends, particularly if they are pregnant as addiction to this chemical can be passed from mother to unborn child. REMEMBER! The withdrawal symptoms can kill you.

My God! Imagine what would happen if you were to mix it with selenium!!

I'm sure that hogs fed with paylean are also at risk from this horrible chemical!

here.
DMHO.org wrote:What you may find surprising are some of the products and places where DHMO is used, but which for one reason or another, are not normally made part of public presentations on the dangers to the lives of our family members and friends. Among these startling uses are: as an additive to food products, including jarred baby food and baby formula, and even in many soups, carbonated beverages and supposedly "all-natural" fruit juices
in cough medicines and other liquid pharmaceuticals,
in spray-on oven cleaners,
in shampoos, shaving creams, deodorants and numerous other bathroom products,
in bathtub bubble products marketed to children,
as a preservative in grocery store fresh produce sections,
in the production of beer by all the major beer distributors,
in the coffee available at major coffee houses in the US and abroad,
in Formula One race cars, although its use is regulated by the Formula One Racing Commission, and
as a target of ongoing NASA planetary and stellar research.

One of the most surprising facts recently revealed about Dihydrogen Monoxide contamination is in its use as a food and produce "decontaminant." Studies have shown that even after careful washing, food and produce that has been contaminated by DHMO remains tainted by DHMO.

I was really interested in some of the facts on the link that Greg so kindly put up. I certainly am behind banning anything so toxic that it can kill without warning. Odorless, tasteless etc etc............sounds like a chemical warfare weapon.

I personally wonder why if it goes airborne it kills people but then the page states that "athletes ingest large amounts" to provide an increase in performance and apparently it is not a banned/tested substance. Also it is said to be a compound known to improve marriages???

Without searching through my bathroom medicine cabinet and checking deodorant and shaving cream along with household cleaners I wonder what products/brands use this as an ingredient in their products and for what purpose?

Either way people dying of this stuff is way out of bounds. I'd like to learn more about it for sure.

And to think I spent all that time on selenium.........I should have been researching this instead. I can imagine that if this product made its way onto a pig farm in high enough levels it would be bad news for people and pigs alike.

I'd like to know what levels are safe? And in what forms this product is safe in if any.

Derek
