only 2-3 piglets

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a diagnosis of why a sow would only have 2-3 piglets? There's a sow I know of that only has had 2-3 piglets every time she was bred (she was bred and farrowed 3 or 4 times).

Maybe the sow isn't the most fertile? Bad semen? Not proper AI time? ????

She is a pet, my house she would have only gotten two chances. Several lines have some fertility issues. May also be related to vaccination protocol.

If over several litters one would conclude genetics.
