Early lactation

Post by NATaylor76 » Mon Jul 31, 2017 6:15 pm

I have a first time gilt that is due August 12th. This evening I was scratching her and just checked her teets to see if she had milk...she can express a tiny couple drops of milk out of a few teets. I know it's very early and a man I trust well said it can happen and to get her in this weekend. Has anyone else seen this and does anyone know the earliest piglets are viable? I'm just concerned. Thank you in advance.

Light milk can be expressed a few days before farrowing.

When it squirts you in the face, she is very close.

If you bred her ai then you have the exact date and time bred.
