Prolonged estrus(heat)

I have a newly purchased gilt that was reported to have normal estrous cycles before our purchase, but has been in heat for 13 days straight! Anyone out there have a remedy? or idea what is going on? Appreciate any help.

Is this confirmed heat? You put her with the boar and she stands? All 13 times? I've ran into some tough gilts and the only way to tell is to run them with a boar. Using boar spray can give you false positives on the tougher ones.
